US FCC certification
I. Introduction to FCC certification:
FCC (Federal Communications Commission, US Federal Communications Commission www.fcc.gov) is an abbreviation. FCC certification is a compulsory certification of electronic products entering the US market. Involving more than 50 US states, Columbia, and US territories.
FCC certification is a compulsory EMC certification of the United States, mainly for 9KHz-3000GHz FCC certification of electronic appliances FCC certification. Jpg, covering radio, communication and other aspects, especially radio interference problems of wireless communication equipment and systems, including radio interference limits Value and measurement methods, certification system and organization management system. Products regulated by the FCC, such as personal computers, CD players, copiers, radios, fax machines, video game consoles, electronic toys, televisions, and microwave ovens. These products are divided into two categories: CLASS A and CLASS B. Class A is for commercial or industrial products, and Class B is for household use. The FCC has stricter requirements for Class B products, and limits Low and Class A. For most electrical and electronic products, the main standards are FCC Part 15 and FCC Part 18.
2. Forms of FCC certification:
The FCC has three certification modes for different products: Verification Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Certification. Different certification modes require testing laboratories to obtain FCC approval, and have different application, testing, and declaration requirements.
1. Verification: self-verification. The manufacturer or importer ensures that the product has undergone the necessary tests to confirm that the product complies with the relevant technical standards and retains the test report. The testing laboratory FCC LISTEE, all approved sites are published on the official Online. The FCC has the right to require manufacturers to submit test data for equipment samples or products. Suitable devices for self-verification include commercial computers, TV and FM receivers, and industrial, scientific, and medical equipment used by non-public consumers of FCC Rule Part 18.
2. Declaration of Conformity (DoC): Declaration of Conformity. The equipment responsible party (generally the manufacturer or importer) tests the product at a qualified testing agency designated by the FCC to ensure that the equipment meets relevant technical standards and retains the test report. The issuing authority must be authorized by NVLAP / A2LA. The FCC has the right to require the responsible party to submit test data for samples of the equipment or products. Applicable devices include household computers and peripherals, civil broadcast receivers, super-regeneration receivers, other receivers under FCC Rule Part 15, TV interface equipment, cable system terminal equipment, and general consumer use of Part 18 Industrial, scientific and medical equipment.
3. Certification: ID certification. Certification is the process by which the FCC signs equipment approval based on application and test data. The FCC reviews the samples (or photos) and test data submitted by the applicant, and authorizes the device with an FCC ID number if it meets the requirements of the FCC rules. Applicable equipment includes low-power transmitters such as cordless phones, remote controls for automatic doors, radio-controlled toys, and safety alert systems, devices that deliberately emit radio-frequency energy in Part 15, industrial, consumer use in Part 18, Scientific research and medical equipment, automatic frequency conversion receivers and super-regenerative receivers, television interface equipment, and home computers and their peripherals. The responsible party should make the device FCC ID marked.
Third, the main FCC standards
As follows, FCC PART 15 and PART 18 are the most widely used:
FCC Standard Application
FCC PART15 C / E / F Intent Radiation Device Test
FCC PART 18 Industrial, Scientific and Medical Equipment
FCC PART 22 Public Mobile Communication Services
FCC PART 24 Personal Communication Services
FCC PART 25 Satellite Communication Services
FCC PART 27 Other FCC wireless communication services
FCC PART 68 telecommunications terminal equipment
FCC Part 15 regulates emission equipment that is intentional, unintentional, or transient and does not require a personal license in use. It includes technical specifications, administrative requirements, and other market access conditions. The products are mainly divided into four categories: unintentional launch equipment, intentional launch equipment, personal communication equipment without a license, and basic information equipment in a country without a license.
FCC Part 18 regulates the electromagnetic energy emitted by industrial, scientific, and medical equipment (ISM) operating on a certain frequency spectrum to avoid the harmful interference of such equipment to authorized wireless communication services.
4. Specific steps for customers to apply for FCC certification:
1. The customer submits an application form (we provide a blank application form);
2. The client signs a commissioned inspection contract with our company;
3. Send samples for testing, and prepare electrical schematics, external / internal photos, oscillator circuit block diagrams, user manual nameplate identification, working principle description, etc. (depending on the product);
4. After passing the test, if it is FCC VOC certification, our company will directly issue a certificate of conformity and report. If it is FCC DOC or ID certification, our company will submit the application information to the FCC authorized certification authority;
5. After the company obtains FCC certification, it can use the FCC logo on its products.
Note: FCC ID certification requires the submission of a list and requirements as follows:
1) FCC application form: the application company name, address, contact information, product name and model, and use information are required to be accurate;
2) FCC authorization letter: To be signed and sealed by the contact person of the applicant company and scanned into an electronic file;
3) FCC confidential letter: The confidential letter is an agreement between the applicant company and the TCB agency to keep product information confidential. It should be signed and sealed by the contact person of the applicant company and scanned into an electronic file;
4) Block diagram: All crystals and crystal frequencies need to be drawn and kept consistent with the circuit diagram;
5) Circuit diagram: It must be consistent with the crystal frequency, the number of crystals, and the position of the crystal in the block diagram;
6) Circuit description: English is required, and the function realization principle of the product is clearly described;
7) Instruction manual: FCC warning words are required;
8) Label and label location: The label must have FCC ID number and Statement, and the location of the label must be significant;
9) Photos of the appearance of the product: The pictures should be clear and clear, and add notes if necessary;
10) Test report: The test is required to be completed, and the product is comprehensively evaluated according to the standard terms;
